چکیده

The effect of protein and amino acid charges was studied on protein synthesis, proteases and cytochrome oxidase in the kidney homogenates of frog. The gamma globulins and basic proteins, decreased the protein synthesis as well as the protein degradation while the albumins and acidic proteins showed an opposite effect, suggesting a high protein turnover rate in the kidney of frog. Lysine and glutamic acid followed the trend of gamma globulins and albumins, respectively. The energy producing systems as indicated by cytochrome oxidase activity was proportionately stepped up by the albumins. It is suggested that the elevation of albumin content in the kidney may promote the turnover rate of protein and this information may be helpful in understanding the mechanism of kidney degeneracy.

Incorporation of Radioactive Acetate and Sucrose into Amino Acids and Protein of Excised Organs of Red Kidney Bean.

Little information is available on rates of incorporation of C14-labeled amino acids into plant protein. The first reported work was that of Arreguin, Bonner and Wood (1) in 1951 in which C14-carboxvl-labeled acetate was supplied to guayule plants. The bulk of the radioactivity in the protein fraction was located in leucine, glutamate and aspartate. Boroughs and Bonner (4) incubated C14-carboxy...

Short communication:Influence of vacuum packaging and frozen storage time on fatty acids, amino acids and ω -3/ ω-6 ratio of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

In this study rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fillets were vacuum packed, frozen and stored at -18°C and  the effect of this packaging method on proximate composition, fatty acids and amino acid profile and their changes compared to control conditions during 9 months of storage were studied. The results showed that 18 fatty acids were identified. The unsaturated fatty acid (UFA) were 56.77 ...

Comparison of Essential and Non Essential Amino Acids in the Microbial Protein of Pleurotus Florida from the Lignocellulosic Wastes

Introduction: Cereal straws contain Cellulose, Hemicelluloses and Lignin and are most available renewable biopolymers. White rot fungi is used to convert these wastes into microbial protein. Pleurotus Florida are having the most delignification ability amongst other micro-organisms. We determined the amounts of protein, essential and non essential amino acids of the produced microbial protein f...

Effect of reducing 3.2% dietary protein level on the growth performance and immunity of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) with supplementation of multi amino acids

Reducing dietary protein content in fish feeds will reduce cost of production if growth performance can be maintained. In this study, we assessed the effects of reduced dietary protein content from 33.5% to 27.4% with ideal amino acids profile on the growth, immune parameters, intestinal microvilli length and total ammonia nitrogen discharge of tilapia. After 8 weeks of feeding, growth performa...

Pattern of activity levels of amino trnasferases in the gonads of silkworm, Bombyx mori L.on exposure to prostaglandin F2

The impact of PGF2? on total proteins, free amino acids and the amino transferases in the gonads of silkworm, Bombyx mori L. were investigated in the present experiment. The effect of PGF2? resulted in increase in the total protein and free amino acid contents in the gonads of silkworm larvae indicating improved structural and dynamic levels of organization. The enhanced activity levels of amin...
